This exhibition contrasts Western notions of portraiture with portraits of country, the landscape being depicted using photographic techniques used in the early days of photography. The exhibition challenges the “blind spots” in our collective memory, asserting a powerful Anangu perspective in the space of photography:
"Stories are eternal. They are held onto, or given away, for a moment only, but they are eternally present in song, dance, language, place, earth and spirit. Our Elders have given us our stories, and we will carry them brightly into the future."
