Nyaru

Robert Fielding was invited to be an artist in residence at Canberra Glassworks in 2023. Following up from the residency, Robert has developed a body of work bringing the medium of glass together with his unique artistic language, incorporating rusted and sand-blasted car doors, found objects, glass kulata (spears), and embossed works on paper.

"Nyaru is the regrowth rising from burnt-out country. This show is a timely reminder that culture is alive and forever changing, that destruction is part of growth, that we will forever continue to burn back and rise."
